Text color change in Structure theme
-
can anyone tell me whether the text color can be changed on the Structure theme. I am using it currently on my blog. The grey color is extremely difficult to read and I have a beautiful background image that I want to use and cannot since the “Use the alternate dark color scheme” does not involve change in the text color. Also, the single posts dont have a background color, so they use the background image which is distracting. I don’t want to buy a CSS upgrade for such a small change.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To make those changes once for all you need the paid Custom Design upgrade. Without it, you can apply them on a post-by-post basis by adding code in the HTML post editor. See here:

Hi, I have a related question – If i have the custom design upgrade for the structure theme on wordpress.com, how do i change the colour of the “headings”, not the”header” or “title site”, just the headings of the pages & posts?
-
On the front page, or when viewing a single post/page, or both? Change the hover color too or not?
-
Both. When i set the fonts in custom fonts, there’s 3 options – “site title”, “headings” or “body text”. I just want to change the colour of the “headings” throughout the whole blog. Does that make sense? I’m new to this so apologies if I’m not explaining correctly. And thank you for your quick reply!

The Fonts section in Appearance > Custom Design allows you to change the font family and the font size, not the color. To change the color of post/page titles, you need to switch to the CSS section and add this to the CSS editor (replacing 000000 with the hex code for the color you prefer):
#content h3, #content h4, #content h3 a, #content h4 a { color: #000000; }
Palettes and hex codes here:

This is outrageous.
If WordPress allows us to change the background color of the structure theme FOR FREE. at the very least, WordPress needs to allow the changing of the structure’s font colors AT MINIMUM FOR FREE to adjust for the new background.
Very bad guys, very bad.

These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/
(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2
(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
Note: Any font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, post titles, page titles, categories and tags cannot be done without CSS editing.I’m sorry to hear your unhappiness but we Volunteers answering support questions do not make such decisions; only Staff do. When Staff reactivate the support link on 15th August you can share you opinion with them by using this link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
