Text colour for titan theme

    Hi there I can’t seem to get my head around the CSS options I like the theme alot for those who want to catch up but I want to change the colour of the text so that its readable with my background. Preferably white

    The site I’m trying to get to work right is nightingaleresort.wordpress.com

    Thanks in advance for any help

    The blog I need help with is nightingaleresort.wordpress.com.

    Start with this and see where it gets you. The problem is that the image you are using (which is a wonderful image) has way too much variation in colors and a very wide color range from near blown-out white to nearly black. That is going to make choosing a text color that will work everywhere difficult. White, as you will see, disappears in the sidebar area over the sky.

    .lay1 > div .post-content {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    .lay1 > div .postitle a {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    #posts {
    color: #7F7F7F;
    #posts .postitle, #posts .postitle a {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    #sidebar .widgets ul li a {
    color: #FFFFFF;

    Thank you so much, getting the right colour for text with that image is hard as it is. I have clicked onto a post after the changes you gave me were added and the original colours remain. Is there a way to change that as well to match the colour choice? I’m sorry I really am useless at understanding CSS

    I see you figured out that I forgot to change the color code on #posts. Sorry about that.

    The darkening of the image works well.

    Yeah once I was given the code and realised the code after the hash was the colour I got to trying to figure it I still don’t understand CSS but I worked out enough of the code to try and get a fix but yeah I had to darken the image after not finding another suitable image for the blog. Thank you very much for your help :D

    Hi @thesacredpath

    I saw a response you gave a few months back on a different thread and hope you can help me.

    My site = http://www.veggiegrettie.com

    My sidebar (on the right) of my homepage (Pilcrow Theme) is WAY down at the bottom below my posts. When you click on individual posts the sidebar is normal.

    I tried doing what you said with unsuccessful results, “This is most often caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts.

    Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”

    Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding and then deleting a space, and then click “update post.” Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.”

    Do you have any other ideas? I so appreciate your expertise.

    The reason your sidebar has fallen and is displaying below your posts is either due to copying and pasting or it can also be a result of importing text containing invalid HTML. Typically this is caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts.

    Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”

    Posts > All Posts, change all your latest posts to Draft, click Update, change them back to Published, click Update again. (You can edit all of them at once: tick the square in front of their titles then select Edit from the Bulk Actions dropdown and click Apply.)

    See > Themes > Issues > Sidebar

    If you have been copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor, please see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

    Sorry timethief…I really don’t know protocol on these things because this is my first time using the forum and I didn’t know where to go in order to start my own thread.

    All of this is very new to me since I am self-taught. Again…I truly apologize.
