Text Widget – Which Fbook code should I use? 4 choices, none work.

    Using Twenty Ten Theme

I want a simple Fbook Like button with a count on it.

Instructions are simple enough at Facebook but I am given 4 choices of code: HTML5 XFBML IFRAME URL

I don’t know what this means or which code I should be copying.

I have tried to paste each and every one of these code blocks into the Text Widget, and NOTHING shows up on the page. ZERO.

    What am I doing wrong?

I can see that there is a Facebook Like Widget for Twenty Ten already included, but I do not want that look. I just want a simple like button with a count.

Thanks, I’m new at this but I’m quite certain I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this all out, and that is why I am here.

The blog I need help with is chathamcomputer.wordpress.com.

Sadly, the only way to get a Facebook like button is to use the pre-added on from Wirdpress.com. Sorry about that.

To get the FB icon that will share your blog on FB, just go into Widgets. You can reach this from your link bar at the top of your blog page. On the left-hand side of the page you will see Settings. Under Settings, you will see Sharing. Click on that. You will now see various sharing buttons. You can drag them to the Enabled section in order to enable them on your blog. You can also choose where and how the icon will be displayed.
Unfortunately, this all WordPress has at the moment.
