I have done everything necessary to install widgets. When I click on the sidebar widgets tab I drag and drop a text widget onto the sidebar. at this point I see a little icon on the right. I click on it and am presented with a small text editor. I can write a title at the top and some text at the bottom. **My Problem** how do I get that text to appear in the sidebar? This question also applies to the other widgets such as the calendar also.
    Many thanks,
    Paul

This will clearly explain the set up and configuring of widgets. There are illustrated instructions in the FAQs blog and the link to it is at the head of these forums. This will be helpful http://faq.wordpress.com/tag/widgets/

yes that’s very nice. I already read that. It shows the Text editor and the resultant sidebar but doesn’t show how you get from point a to point b. How do you get that text you typed in to the sidebar. There just isn’t enough information :(

You type the text you have created using html coding into the text widget and click “save changes”.

OOPS! We were simultaneously typing. I’m glad to hear you worked this out. Happy blogging. :)
