The Akismet Widget Bottom Text Is Hard To Read/See In The Twenty Twelve Theme

  1. Hello,

The bottom text (Blocked By Akismet) for the Akismet widget is hard to read/see in the Twenty Twelve theme in my opinion, due to the default color/brightness of the text, does the Team plan on fixing this to make it easier to read/see?

    Thank you,

  2. It's a widget that isn't essential so I don't display it on my blogs. I tagged this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  4. You're welcome.

  5. Hi John,

The link color is dependant on your theme. If you wanted to change it, you'd have to modify the color of links by using the Custom Design upgrade:

    Custom Design

You can also try a different theme if you'd like.

I hope that answers your question!

  6. Hello Richardmtl,

Thank you for responding, but are you serious (no offense) ? (You do not have to answer that :D , but this pattern of response/lack of action still confuses/saddens/et cetera me since I been on & this has not changed sadly over the years, because I think that has a lot of potential & is not that bad except for things like this & lost potential)

I know about the Custom Design (I am not new & I follow the Blog/News), I know there are other themes (trust me I have tried many over the years & I look at each new theme when they are introduced), but why should someone have to pay and/or try another theme because of an obvious visual/color/brightness flaw made on the new default free theme when the WordPress Team who made it should have fixed/noticed this flaw long ago and/or could easily fix this simple flaw now? (Why would someone even want to buy something from someone who would make & not notice or fix simple flaws even when brought to their attention about users/a user?)

It is not that serious (thank goodness! or this situation would be even more awkward/strange/confusing/sad/et cetera than it already is) but a simple flaw like this should have been noticed and fixed long ago, and I just think that your response is an odd way to deal/not deal with a simple flaw on the default free theme; I would think someone pointing out an obvious flaw would be thanked & the simple flaw fixed normally.

I can understand if I was asking for someone unnecessary, but this is an obvious flaw where the text is almost unreadable/is unreadable (I thought that Twenty Twelve & most made themes were supposed to work toward being more readable?) & would be simple to fix I would think; and this effects/affects many people since this is on the default free theme & involves one of the widgets.

Anyway enough of my jibber jabber (from previous experience I doubt that it will help anyway), I do want to thank you for at least responding, that is better than nothing. :D

  7. Hi John,

Thanks for your response. As a matter of fact, TwentyTwelve is not the default theme, but I can see how the link colour for some themes might not work well with the colour of the widget. I will pass on the suggestion to choose a standard color for that link.

  8. Twenty Eleven is still the default theme, if so, is Twenty Twelve not considered good enough or something (just curious) ?

Thank you Richardmtl, that is nice of you. :)

    -John Jr

  9. I mispoke, TwentyTwelve is one of the default themes, and I've passed on the suggestion!

  10. Okay, I was wondering because I followed Twenty Twelve from before it was finished knowing/thinking that it was to be the newest/new default theme, hehehe :D ; thank you Richardmtl, and have a nice day. :)

  11. This seems to be fixed now, thank you very much Richardmtl. :)
