The dimensions for the custom header on the Sight template are not working.

The header image in Sight template is always blurry and the dimensions are wrong.

I’ve tried repeatedly to upload header images that are exactly 580×150, as it specifies on the Appearances—>Header page, and also on this theme profile page:

But every time I upload the image it comes up in the little cropping window as always not wide enough, so the marquee wants to chop out to 40% of it or so. So I adjust and adjust, same thing. Now, I figured out that if i center my image on a much larger canvas, I can manually adjust the crop – but it is still coming blurry, even though my art is razor-sharp:

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I’m having the same problem. Hope a fix can be found as I can’t figure it out either.

    Hi Kate –

Well I didn’t solve it, but I found a compromise of sorts… made the JPG of the header much larger than normal, then reduced it down, it’s still a bit blurry but not like before. Weird stuff!!!
