Good day! Tell me, please, in the transition to the paid version ‘Private’ to free what would happen with the domain? From there the word will disappear WordPress while in my case will remain spicehacker.com? Is there the possibility of a WordPress setup redirects when administered to older pages that have been in the free version?

The blog I need help with is spicehacker.wordpress.com.

    Hi there,

Every site on WordPress.com comes with a free *.wordpress.com domain. If you upgrade to a paid plan, you have the option of hiding that free address with a custom domain, either by buying one directly from us, or connecting one you bought somewhere else.

The new domain is just applied over the free address, like putting a new cover on a book. The free address will also still work, and any existing links will be automatically redirected to the new domain.

If you ever remove your domain or let it expire, your site just goes back to using the free address.

Please let me know if you have any more questions about this :)
