  1. Hello, I purchased a theme for my site. I would like to use that same theme on instead. How can I do that? Also, can I cancel my wordpress .com site and only use Help please!

    When you purchase a premium theme, it is available for the lifetime of that blog while it is hosted here by

    Note: Premium Themes that are licensed for use only cannot be transferred to self-hosted sites. Some Automattic-developed premium themes can be transferred to a self-hosted site at no charge, as part of a Guided Transfer. Please post in the premium theme forums if you’d like to know whether your theme qualifies.

  3. To move your content you need to create an XML export file of your content. It will not include the theme as they cannot be exported. See 3 below. Also note that if you have purchased a premium theme you will have to contact the theme designer directly and request a version of it. and are completely separate.

    1. Hire a web host

    2. Set up a install and equip it with a theme and plugins.

    3. Export your content out of your blog and import it into the install.

    4. Purchase a site redirect upgrade from or if you have domain mapping then update the nameservers

    5. Transfer subscribers and stats. See

    6. Set your blog visibility to private. To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here

    Alternatively you can purchase a Guided Transfer and Staff will do the move and set up for you

    NOTE: and have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  7. Yes you can get a refund. Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you ought to be able to request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
    Note: It takes from 1 - 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
