Theme Pique: customization impossible to save

  1. Hello,
I'm trying to customize my theme "Pique" using the Appareance > Customize link. Anytime I try to save my modifications, it looks like it's working (the animated gif near the save button gets active) but then nothing happens: the button still says "Save and publish" as if I hadn't clicked it, and my customization are lost when I try to leave the page.
    I'm using WordPress 4.5.2.
    Thanks,
    Arnaud

The blog I need help with is test.francofierte.ca.

  2. Hi Arnaud,

I can see that the site you're using Pique with is hosted outside of WordPress.com and running on the free software available at WordPress.org.

These forums are intended to support sites hosted here at WordPress.com. We'll still be happy to help with any questions on the Pique theme but ask that you post to the relevant forum on WordPress.org:

As a first step to troubleshooting the issue with the Customizer, I recommend disabling all of your plugins one by one. Test to see if the Customizer works correctly each time to see if you can spot a plugin causing a conflict.

If that doesn't help, please post to the WordPress.org forums and we'll continue to troubleshoot with you.

  3. Thank you! I identified the "MailChimp Comment Optin" plugin as the source of the issue.

  4. Excellent! I'm glad to hear you were able to pinpoint the problematic plugin.

I recommend double checking that you're running the latest version and also contacting the plugin's author here, so that they're aware of the trouble:
