Theme text color change

  1. I want to preview in CSS Customization Upgrade how changing the text color for my Site Title and Tagline would look, but don't know the code for that. Can I get some help?

    The blog I need help with is

  2. Please post an active link to the blog in question starting with http://

    Your username is linked to godaddy and that's not at all helpful to those answering questions. Please change that so your blog is linked to yoru username so your blog bacn be instrantly located. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary blog and then save changes.

    Note that all CSS editing of free hosted blogs is theme specific and we don't know which theme you are referring to. Please be sure to read this article before starting your editing >

  3. Is this the blog in question or not?

  4. Yes.
    Sorry, didn't know that was still set up like that. Will change.

  5. Thanks for confirming. Now we know which theme you are using. Notepad > tags search >

  6. OK, now that we have that straight, and you have me in the right place...any idea on the code for changing the text color on the the Site Title and Tagline?

  7. You need to add this to your CSS (replacing 000 with the hex codes for the colors you prefer):

    #header #logo, #header #logo a {
    color: #000;

    #header .description {
    color: #000;

    Pallettes and color codes here:

  8. So just adding the above with the colors I prefer into the CSS Stylesheet Editor and pressing Preview will do the trick?

  9. Yes. If the new colors do not show up, force refresh the preview page. It has been a little finicky over the past few months.
