I am posting by email and want the post to be arranged exactly like my email. The problem is that sometimes the post switches to gallery mode and I don’t want that. I know I could login and get to my post and edit it to [fallery columns=”1″ size=”full”] , but it would be a lot easier if the theme didn’t do gallery in the first place.

Is it controlled by theme, if so how can I filter for theme choice?

The blog I need help with is palloy.wordpress.com.

Check out the post by email options for attachments, it might help:

Multiple images will be displayed as a gallery, unless you add a special shortcode to disable all galleries in the post.

Post by email functionality is the same in all themes.

Let us know how it goes.

Ah, “[nogallery]”, or separate images with a line of text (e.g. caption).
That explains why sometimes it used gallery and sometimes it didn’t.
    Thanks for that.

Those shortcodes are so powerful they should perhaps be given more prominence in the documentation.
