Is there a trick to including a thumbnail of choice when sharing your website address on a venue such as Facebook? Sometimes when posting a link, I get the option to post it with a thumbnail, other times I do not.
The blog I need help with is margber.com.
I’m sorry but we cannot help with this. We have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
See this thread for more tips please > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wp-post-wont-publish-images-to-fb-but-was-previously?replies=8
Thank you. I’ll check out the links.
I also am having a problem with thumbnails showing up as blank images on FB. I am using the Hum theme for my WP site, Sight Unseen.
It seems there is a meta tag in the source for my blog, which may be causing the problem:
<meta property=”og:image” content=”http://wordpress.com/i/blank.jpg?m=1383295312g” />
Can this be the root of the problem? Is there a way to remove or modify this meta tag?
BTW, I tried using FB Debug, but without success.
