Time and Author Not Showing Up

Add topic to favorites
I’m using WordPress 2.3 and Default Theme 1.6 by Michael Heilemann.

Currently when I write a post only the date is showing up under the title. I’d like to have the time and author as well… is there a plug-in, setting or some easy way to get this done, (I’m not a programmer-type).

Not all themes are coded to display timestamps and authors. It sounds like you have selected one that doesn’t.

If the lack of timestamp is a deal breaker for you there are two options.
(1) Type in the time on each post.
(2) Switch to a theme that has this feature.

If the lack of an author’s name is a deal breaker for you there are two options.
(1) Create a category in the author’s name like John Doe that can be assigned to theposts.
(2) Type an author’s byline on each post as in … by John doe.
(3) Switch to a theme that has this feature.
