    I have a feeling God is a woman :)

  2. Melted Brie with Vegetables and a Funny Stalker song

For the first time in a long time, I actually have a good day at work... and I'm actually made into a proper manager. Huzzah!

  4. Today I actually had enough brainpower to write an essay. It's amazing! Especially considering I'm just coming off a wicked cold. It even required me to draw upon knowledge I obtained in school. And I thought knowing what an 'allusion' was would never get me anywhere...

The Hunger Games and Ancient Rome

  5. We celebrated another birthday today, so only time for a very short birthday greetings post!

  6. Hey there!

Periodically, I've been writing these essays, mediations really, on family traits I admire.

For months now, I have had a series of notes about my stepfather and one of his amazing qualities—

    On Enthusiasm

    Happy Saturday, everyone!

  7. How'd You Spend Your Saturday Afternoon?

I spent mine at work.. watch what I got up to while I was there... alone.

  8. I spent hours on this tiny post. Real flowers or Dow work?

  9. How to season your mortar and pestal.

Im also looking for new blogs to read.

  10. A progress update on my book, our website and battling with learning about the publishing world!

  13. Hola!

Although I had planned to write a rather broad survey today on photography for my weekly feature, OUR SUNDAY BEST, it turns out photography had different plans for me.

I called my photography (and many other topics) mentor and we got into a discussion about Alfred Stieglitz.

The next thing you know, I found myself rewriting the whole thing into a history of the beginning of modern photographs.

Fasten your seat belts folks, and set your f-stop to the widest depth of field—

Our Sunday Best: Where the Light Captures Us

Sending you all good thoughts and best wishes this Sunday.

  14. Feeling better, finally:

    Some Joyful Noise

  15. Today I reviewed a really great book with a really, really long title. It's the third book in the Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins, which is her first, less famous series. In my opinion, the Underland Chronicles were much better than the Hunger Games trilogy, especially the third book:

Gregor the Overlander and the Curse of the Warmbloods by Suzanne Collins

  16. Two posts today:

How to tell if you've been blocked on Twitter
(and I was, then she unblocked me, very peculiar)
and (related if you know the backstory)
Action for Assange Things you can do today to help Julian Assange, Wikileaks, and the cause of justice internationally.

  17. The Lonely

A short story about the end of the world.

  18. My Vita-Mix product review and a health-shake disaster.

  19. Hey-ya!

On Tuesdays, I post poetry, and today's offering is full of...

Busses, sudden exits, gals waving at strangers, terrible fluorescent light—

    Departure, Los Angeles

May your writing being full of strong verbs today and may your thesaurus be right by your side!

    Thanks y'all!

  23. Today I posted a review of the sequel to one of my favourite books. And unlike a lot of YA fiction (especially with the dystopian trend), this book is funny! Amazing, I know. The best thing about it? It was written by a fellow Canadian.

Son of the Mob 2: Hollywood Hustle by Gordon Korman.

  24. Check out the dictatorship-type media restrictions to be introduced into Australia in relation to asylum seekers!

  25. Hey you all!

Today I wrote a MASH NOTE to one of my favorite filmmakers, Wes Anderson. Love him or hate him, Anderson has made a well-defined mark on contemporary cinema. The question is: why?

Mash Note Dept. : Wes Anderson

Also, a special (and legit) sneak preview trailer of Anderson's upcoming film!

Thanks in advance for stopping by!
