Too many old blogs; wrong one capturing my access!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I do NOT want help getting into 100 Blogging Babes. That was filled in automatically since it’s the only blog I have access to and I needed to ask this question. I want access to my other blogs, linked to user name WorkCoach. Hope this is clear. If not, please feel free to ask me more. Thank you!
You cannot access a blog without being logged in under the exact username account that registered the blog.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
If you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If that’s not successful see > http://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
Thank you for the quick reply, timethief. I remember you well from eons ago when I was active on WordPress.com. I can’t get into ANY account now, so I can’t even get to those links. And yet I just got into the 100 Blogging Babes account to write this message. Sigh. I’ll try again later I guess. It all defaults to 100BlogginBabes no matter what I try, even though that blog no longer exists and the others do. Grrr.
Again, thanks. I’ll be back when my head is clear. Wishing you all good things! ~ Ronnie Ann
Ugh! Just to be clear, I see now that I am signed in to 100 Blogging Babes. But when I try the links, it tells me “100bloggingbabes.wordpress.com is no longer available.” As I said, I’ll try again later. Much thanks.
100bloggingbabes.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.
There is no way to recover the URL you deleted because there is no recycling of deleted blog URLs here at WordPress.com. This prevents the scenario of someone impersonating the blogger who originally had the deleted URL after they deleted it.
There are 3 warning of this given prior to blog deletion and then a confirmation link in an email is sent, and the blog is not deleted until that link is clicked. That prevents accidental deletions by insuring everyone who deletes a blog has had lots of previous warnings that what they are doing is irreversible.
I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
Thanks again. But I don’t want to recover the one I deleted. i don’t ever want to see it again. I wanted to delete it. But the dashboard still exists, with empty posts and comments. And yet the username keeps coming up as the default when I try to log into my other accounts for blogs that do exits. they all got conflated somehow. perhaps because at tiemes they had the same e-mail?
I just saw your other e-mail. Thanks. I’m sure it’s something I did wrong. But hoping I can undo enough to get access to my existing blogs again. MUCH thanks!
It’s not likely that Staff will get to this thread until after the weekend but when they do they will help sort this, not to worry.
Thanks. No rush. Just good to know the cavalry is on the way!
Most of support Staff are away at a meet-up and are monitoring threads until they return.
Well!! This is strange. I couldn’t stop trying things and changed the e-mail address on the deleted site, whose dashboard I was thankfully able to access again. At first nothing happened. But now I tried again and was just able to reset a password for the workcoach username and finally get into the associated OutofMyHead.wordpress.com, which was my intention in the first place.
So issue resolved. I hope. Sorry to have bothered you, timethief, but something in what you said made me think of this. So thank you! Now I can have some dinner and get ready for Downton Abbey. Have a great evening.
