Too much space between lines

  1. Hi
    Since yesterday, I have the same problem on my two blogs. When I write something and go to the following line, there is much space in between

    (like I am doing here).
    The format is normal. I manage to post in a normal way using the Title 6. I have the Custom design and increased the sizes of the fonts but put it back to normal size and it doesn't fix the problem.
    Thanks for your help.

    The blog I need help with is

  2. Can you give us a link to a place where this is happening so that we can take a look?

  3. Hi,Thanks, you won't see anything as I don't add much text to my posts and I fix the problem using Title 6.

  5. I just put back the last article as it looked like with the problem.I can't remove either the space between the image and the text "Mary Cassat".
    (Sorry, I should have done it before posting here).

  6. Hit shift and enter to change to next line
    Hit enter to change to next paragraph

  7. The image is wrapped in paragraph tags which means that there will be standard paragraph spacing below the image. The best way to fix this is when you insert an image and then add the text below it. Go into the HTML tab, and on that particular post, you will see this at the beginning of the post

    <p style="text-align:center;">

    Change it to look like this:

    <p style="text-align:center; margin-bottom:3px;">

    You can adjust he 3px value as you see fit.

  8. HiThesacredpath, I added the code you give me but it didn't work. I am just starting with html, It seems that unless we change the code, there is no easy option to add the text just under an image ? Surely I'll understand better with time. Thanks a lot for the advise.

  9. The reason for that space is that the theme you're using specifies a very large margin below images. You can minimize that in the HTML editor by changing this part of the image code:
    <img class="etc etc etc.
    to this:
    <img style="margin-bottom:1px;" class="etc etc etc.

    Or, in the Visual editor, click on the image, click the edit tool (mountain icon), click Advanced Settings, type 1 in the "Vertical space" field, click Update (image), click Update (post).

    In both cases, 1 is just a suggestion: you can change it to adjust the space.

  10. Thanks Panaghiotisadam, really appreciate the detailed information you explain to me. At the moment, I don't feel ready to learn how to use code but keep your info for later. Would appreciate to make that change.

  11. You're welcome. You don't have to use coding: I gave you the visual editor alternative too.
