I was wondering if it was possible to keep a post or some time of header with text that was always at the top of the top even after another post. Ty in advance.

The blog I need help with is maplesushi.wordpress.com.

Yes, that’s called a “sticky post” and instructions are found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

one more question: Is there a way for there only to be post previews (short versions of posts) when you use search? and not on main page?

You’re welcome and happy blogging. Would you like to mark this issue as “resolved” in the original post you made?

Can you make it only for searches and not for the main page? Because when I do that, it happens to everywhere.

In order to split content so only excerpts appear on the front page we must manually enter “the more tag” into each post. When readers click the read more tag or the title of the post it will display the complete post on it’s own page.

Something else you may be referring to is this. In the majority of themes, posts in category or monthly archive pages show up just as they do in the main posts page. But in some themes only the beginnings of posts are shown, and in a few themes you only get titles or thumbnails.
