Transfer blog didn't work

    blog transfer didnt work. WordPress has said twice it was sucessful however, when I click on the blog from my site’s link…nothing found. I thought I could ask wordpress but the last step is to ask the community? That is pretty crazy that I cant request assistance. I think there are other blogs I can transfer to as well. Anyone that can help?

    Which blog? What is the URL starting with http://?
    Are you the username account transferring the blog to another username account?
    Or are you the username account intended to receive the transferred blog?


    What is the username of the intended blog recipient?
    Did you follow-through with this process?
    If so then have the email client’s spam/junk mail filters been checked for a verification email?


    Thank you for your input. Yes, I have followed the instructions twice on wordpress to transfer the blog. My blog I want to transfer is and move to Both are wordpress blogs. WordPress sends me an email that it is successful yet when is opened, it says nothing found.

    I have checked spam and don’t see anything from wordpress.

    I read the article and tried to change the name. It will not allow me because the other address already exists (and belongs to me).



    You won’t be able to change a blog’s address to an existing address. Instead, export and import the content via the Tools menu of the blogs’ Dashboards.


    I did the export and import. I did this twice and both times received an email from wordpress that the import was successful. However, my new blog doesn’t show anything still.

    Yes this is correct. I have tried twice and got messages from wp sayin it was successful (the import). I am not sure what I am missing in the steps.



    I’m not sure what the issue was, but I was able to do the import for you without issue.
