transfer www.susannahkelly.com from another site to WordPress.

    I just purchased premium with WordPress.
    I want to shut down my current website with Ning. and move over to WordPress.
    I want to keep http://www.susanahkelly.com as is and have a smooth transition to my new site with WordPress.
    IPower is who I use to currently register my domain name.
    I have business cards using the above address and want to keep on using them instead of tossing them and spending any more money .
    please help me through this ASAP,

    Hi Susannah,

    While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, I highly recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

    Unfortunately, this would mean that you would still have to pay the domain registration renewal fee through IPower and the hosting through us, but this would be the only way to smoothly point your domain to your WordPress.com site.
