transferring a domain
I am trying to transfer my domain, but have deleted my website. When I asked my new host, they said I need to ‘You need to contact the registration provider of the domain to update the nameservers of the domain to ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com. Once the nameservers are updated, it takes 4-24 hours for the propagation to complete’
How can I do this?
Please provide the name of the domain you are trying to move over to BlueHost so we can see if there are any additional steps you may need to follow.
But as for your domain, here are the few steps that you need to follow to transfer your domain away from WordPress.com:

Thank you, I really appreciate it!
Have you updated the name servers yet, like BlueHost asked? Again, you need to update your DNS and CNAME records and name servers on WordPress.com to point the DNS to Blue Host.
You can do this by
update the nameservers of the domain to ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com
Then you should try transferring your domain. Here is where you can find the CNAME records to modify:

If you’re wanting to use your domain at a different host, you should never cancel it at your current host – once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it usually takes a few weeks for your domain registration to clear and become available once you cancel it. There isn’t an exact time, however, so you’ll be checking consistently to see when it becomes available.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site
For more information on using the domain elsewhere, please see:
I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore the domain back to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back.
Let me know if you would like for me to try and regain the domain for you.
