Transferring .de and .net domain from different provider

    Hello,

    I have a website which is registered under a .de and a .net url. It is basically the same website, but one is in German (.de) and the other is in english (.net). I’m not very happy with our current provider and I would like to change it.

    First question: Is it possible to transfer a .de domain to WordPress?

    Second question: Is it possible to use one domain, but have the website in two languages? I.e. do I even need a second domain to have the same website in english as well?

    First question: Is it possible to transfer a .de domain to WordPress?

    We’re not able to accept incoming transfers for .de, as we’re not an accredited domain provider for that extension. You can still use a .de here via our domain mapping upgrade, but the domain registration itself will have to remain at the current domain provider (or moved to another that is accredited for .de).

    Second question: Is it possible to use one domain, but have the website in two languages? I.e. do I even need a second domain to have the same website in english as well?

    There are a few ways to do this. For one site in two languages, the most effective option is to use a multilingual plugin, like polylang. That would require our Business Plan.
