Transparency, opacity, translucency… how to achieve it with Custom CSS

    When the Custom CSS box stripped all my wonderful transparency settings (except -moz-opacity) and FF didn’t render RGBA colors transparent as they should be, I experimented. And I found a way to implement transparent backgrounds (except for IE6 and older, of course) with transparent 1*1px PNG background images.

    A solution like this has been asked for before so I post it for future reference.

    Here is an example from my stylesheets:

    h2.entry-title{
    background:url(http://deltafoxtrot.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/bg_transparent.png) repeat transparent;
    }

    Looks better like this:

    h2.entry-title {
    background:transparent url(http://deltafoxtrot.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/bg_transparent.png) repeat;
    }
