Hello, I have just moved to a self-hosted site and struggling to find out how to transfer my stats. I had 4,000 hits on the previous blog which is now called http://www.zestforlifemag.wordpress.com since moving my domain and on my new domain http://www.zestforlifemag.com all of my blog hits have gone. Could I have my stats merged together please? Thank you.

@rootjosh Thank you very much, it has migrated the direct wordpress followers (77) and all of the stats (4328). It still doesn’t add up entirely though there were 430 followers via email on my old site. Also, how do you display blog hits on the main page of your blog on a self-hosted site? It was easy to do this via widget when I was on wordpress.com.

Are you sure that there were 430 email-ONLY followers? If you were looking at the total followers number, that would have included social media followers as well. We can only transfer WordPress.com and email followers.

I’m afraid that WordPress.com staff can only assist with WordPress.com sites. Your best bet for self-hosted WordPress questions would be the resources here:

Your social followers should return once you reconnect the new site. If you have trouble, I would encourage you to look for information at the link I posted previously.
Happy blogging!

Hello,
I just transferred my client’s site from WP.com to a self-hosted blog and I would also need help transferring stats and followers (the subscription migration tool unfortunately doesn’t offer the option to migrate from the wp.com site).
WP.com: freepolicybriefs.wordpress.com
SH: freepolicybriefs.orgThank you! :)

The owner of the WordPress.com site must both have jetpack connected to their WordPress.com account AND be the one to make that request. A third party cannot make the request.
Please have your client log in and make a new forum thread with the request and then add the tag “modlook” (without quotes) in the tag box on the sidebar.
