Trojan WordPress Site (2)

  • Thanks for the quick response (and immediate shut-down of the thread) on my previous inquiry.

The reason that I did not use the ‘Report a Site’ is because it doesn’t have what I think would have been an obvious choice
‘This WordPress page contains Trojan Links’ as an option.

Here’s another WordPress site dedicated entirely to Trojan PDFs: https://userovam.wordpress.com/

Yes another entire site devoted to trojans disguised as user manuals and popping up on any basic search for things like “Kitchen Aid” or “Waring” – kitchen appliances. In my business, kitchen appliances, these crop up every single day and we have used the old ‘Report a Site’ button and nothing has happened because I guess that they aren’t (technically) spam. They are worse! People buy appliances and these sites post PDF Trojans claiming to be manuals.

Please consider adding an option on the Report a Site button that covers this rampant problem.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Report the blog as Spam – then fill in the box on why it should be suspended – there is a link in your other posting here that explains how to report a blog

  • Trojan WordPress, what a hell is that

  • Hi there,

Thanks for the report. I’m a member of the WordPress.com Terms of Service team, so I’ll have a look.

In future please direct all of these via the ‘Report a blog’ function as others have described. You can use the ‘Abuse’ category when reporting for this purpose. This is the most efficient way for us to find spam or fraudulent blogs.

    Best,
