Trouble Adding Facebook Widget

  1. I am having the hardest time adding both the facebook widget and the twitter widget to my blog. I have tried adding in the facebook widget code in the widget text/html box but when I add it, it doesn't seem to work. Once I save and refresh I just see the code on my page. Am i doing anything wrong

The blog I need help with is

  2. G'day to you,
The may be what you are looking for:
    Facebook Badge

You can also sert up sharing buttons on your blog that will appear on each post.

Regarding the widget you requested please read this entry also. >

  3. We need a link to the blog you are talking about please.

Generally though if you are talking about a blog hosted here on wordpress.COM, and you are talking about the widgets from twitter and facebook themselves, the code that they use in the widgets is not allowed here for security reasons.

  4. Sharing Options
At the bottom of each post and page you can now include sharing buttons for your readers to share your content across a range of social networks/services.

  5. Hi all, I added my facebook badge but it was a pic of my fbook avatar. I just want the little facebook logo ( f ) on my page. Is that possible? how?

  6. Just copy the image you want (right click, save image as) and upload and use that instead.

  7. Can I show the "follow us" and the "like" for facebook at once? It looks like I have to choose one or the other....

  8. @wheelsheels
    Does this help?
It's Possible!: Facebook SHARE and LIKE the same time!

  9. Not really. I want the "like" button, but also a link with the Facebook logo which, when clicked, will take people to the site's facebook page. The way your link sets it up, it lets you post on your wall, which is nice, but not exactly what I wanted.

  10. @wheelsheels: Then check out timethief's first response on this thread (the Facebook Badge).

  11. Yeah, I tried that too, but it will only work in the widget area. I think I have a workaround -- saving and uploading a facebook icon, then highlighting it and linking it to the facebook page.. Not quite as polished looking, but at least it has the icon and will take them directly to the right page. Thanks for your input.
