Truly Minimal Header Increase

    I have the CSS customization subscription and am trying to make my header vertically wider so that the image is larger vertically but remains the same size horizontally. Also, is there any way to make it so that there is less space between my blog text and the category bar at the end of each of my blog posts.

    The blog I need help with is

    On the extra spacing at the bottom between QA+D and the post meta information, you have an extra empty paragraph in your post. Open the post in the editor, scroll to the bottom, place you cursor at the very bottom and then click delete or backspace to get rid of that empty paragraph.

    On the header, the theme you are using is a responsive width design and if you set a height other than the original height in the CSS, the image is going to distort horizontally when the browser window is narrowed, but with the nature of your existing header image, that would not be a problem. With a photographic image, you may not be happy with the results. Add the following CSS. I’ve put in 392px for the height since that is the height of the image you are currently using. If you use a different height header, you can change the height to match the height of the image.

    .site-header img {
    height: 392px;

    Thanks so much for your help!

    One more quick questions if that’s ok? I was also wondering if you know how to get the dotted lines back that space out all of the posts and the widget info. They are shown in the theme picture but I’m not sure how to get them back onto my blog using the truly minimal theme.

    Thanks so much!!!

    Try using this example except replace “verbsandvignettes” with “agirlandherdot” in the url()s:

    AWESOME!!! You’re super helpful :)

    I checked and the dots are back! Nice work. Also, the harlem shake video in your latest post made me laugh. :)

    Can someone tell me how to change the header from the left side of the site to the middle? I want it centered. Can someone help me?

    @ergenstussenin, hey, it’s really easy to miss questions added to previously resolved posts. In the future, you should create a new help request rather than adding on to an older one and that will work better! :)

    You should also always include a link to the blog you’re working on.

    To center the header text in the Truly Minimal theme, add this to your Appearance > Custom Design > CSS editor:

    hgroup {
    	text-align: center;
