Trying to renew plan

    Recently the former person in charge of ASQCharleston.org tried to transfer ownership of the domain to (email visible only to moderators and staff) so that I may pay for the renewal of the plan. I keep trying to find a place where I can renew the plan, but it still says the former Bieber, Jim Thompson, must renew it. Can you please help us straighten this out do that I can pay for the renewal? Thank you.

    Hi There,
    If you are trying to renew your plan and are not able, it does sound as though the former owner still has the site attached to his account. Here are the instructions that he and you must go through to have it transferred to yours!

    Thank you – these instructions outlined a step of transferring the blog that we hadn’t previously done. The original owner completed these instructions, and I’m finally taken to a payment screen, but when I try to renew I still get a message saying “This subscription was originally purchased by another user. Please ask the subscription owner to renew the subscription.”

    This is frustrating. Our website isn’t active, and I’m trying to pay to it but WordPress doesn’t allow it.

    If you have any instructions that can help me deal with that error message, I would appreciate it! Thank you!

    Hi there,

    The domain has been successfully transferred to your account, but the domain is tied to the Premium Plan that is still in jimthompson2001’s account. I’ll need them to post here to authorise me to transfer that plan to your account as well. As soon as the plan is in your account, you’ll be able to renew it and the domain.

    Thank you for confirming. I’ve transferred the Premium Plan to asqcharleston1122. You still own the site itself, and is thus still an admin on the site. If you wish to completely remove yourself from that site, you can transfer ownership of the site itself by following these instructions:

    You should now be able to renew the plan and domain via the Purchases page:
