    Hi,

We are having issues with multiple 404 ‘Google cannot access your web content’ errors on a WordPress-powered site.

Does anyone have experience of this, and know how to fix it?

    Thanks,

    OSEO

The blog I need help with is overflowseo.wordpress.com.

So you are giving SEO advice? OK

Rule number ONE – you need content on a web site – you have NO content on your site – when you have some content (Post in this case) then the 404 error will go away

    Rule number 2

    WordPress-powered site

is a reference to a “powered by WordPress” software install from WordPreesss>ORG and we provide support for WordPress>ORG software here at WordPress.COM.

Maybe you are referring to a different site. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different log-ins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

So you are giving SEO advice?

    SNORT!

Oops! I made an error above

we provide support for WordPress>ORG software = we DO NOT provide support for WordPress>ORG software

@TT – they have a 6 hour old account – odds they did not give a valid link to the real blog?

Rule # 3 – get the web site address correct (maybe even rule number 00) – don’t send people to the wrong URL –

Yes, post the correct URL for the exact site you refer to ought to be rule number 1.
