Twitter badges and javascript disappear!?

    I have no clue why this is that I cannot paste a simple javascript code into pages on my blog.
    Why is it forbidden?? Whenever I paste the twitter badge created via twitter badges, the script doesn’t work.
    I am not interested in the sidebar widget provided by wordpress, since my blog doesn’t have a sidebar, and I want a wide twitter badge.

    Does anyone know how to fix this problem or go around it or demand that wordpress allows pasting javascript and flash into posts?

    It’s a security issue. Many of the other services including Facebook have been brought down by bad javascript and flash inserted by users and wordpress.COM is very concerned with security.

    And wordpress doesn’t do “demands”.

    So why then not allow pasting the simple HTML twitter badge code?? That’s harmless.

    You can as long as it doesn’t contain javascript or flash, iframes or forms.

    Paste the HTML code you are using here in the forum between backticks (the key to the left of the #1 with the ~ on it) so that we can take a look at it.

    It doesnt work, I tried. And I am not going to post the content here. Sorry and thanks.

    You can use TwitStamp to create a twitter badge that
    will work here at

    @sustainorder, suit yourself.

    @sustainorder, using the twitstamp service, I just put a twitter badge thing on my test blog in less than two minutes using a text widget: .
