Two blogs, one way to comment?

  1. I just started adding content to my second blog and when I'm attempting to comment while signed in to the second one, the always defaults.
I'd like to create a niche blog on my art and writing, as my original blog getting crowded. Is this because use the same email address for both?
    What can I do?

The blog I need help with is

  2. Your username can only be linked to one blog ie. your primary blog. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary blog and then save changes. Thereafter every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

When we register a username account here the email address we provide becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged into and register a blog it's registered to that username account we are logged in under and to the email address which is our unique identifier. We can register as many blogs as we wish and provided we are using the same username account then all the blogs will be registered under it and the associated email account. We can change our "display name" but that display name will appear on all blogs registered under the same username account.

In order to completely separate the blogs that you do not want to be associated with each other you register another username account using a different email address when you are logged out of Then you add the new username account as an official user of the blog, and designate them (ie. you) as an Admin. Next you transfer one of the blogs to the new username account using this process.

  3. Thanks, I had the first part down to a science, but the second, it's what I figured - the username and email account being the same.
So, as it is now, seapunk2 is the admin for both blogs, but both blogs won't show up in my followers Reader, is that correct?

  4. We follow blogs not usernames so the followers your have for each blog follow them separately.

  5. Thanks very much; this clarifies things quite a bit. Thanks again. :)

  6. You're welcome and best wishes for happy blogging.
