Unable to add images, videos, new categories, or tags

  1. danapronounceddonna

I am able to add a new post, but cannot add images, videos, new categories, or tags. The exclamation point and DONE appear at the bottom left corner of my screen while I am on the "new post" or "edit" page. I refresh the page and even sign out and restart the computer, but nothing works.

The blog I need help with is

  2. I have similar problems that have just arisen after years of using wordpress with success. I cannot add tags, images or videos, and the upper bar has disappeared from the text screen (which includes "more")

  3. You may not be signed in at all.

I am signed in because this happens while I am writing a blog. It allows me to write the blog, but sometimes I cannot add the tags, images, etc. Last night I ended up adding tags and a new category while signed in from my phone.

  5. I was also signed in and actually posted an article on Talking Union, but noted afterwards that the tags were not included and that the image I had selected did not show.

The issue is likely the fact that I was using Internet Explorer 9 as my browser. Most if not all the problems were resolved after I logged into wordpress using Google Chrome. I suppose I could use IE9 again if I delete its browsing history, cache, cookies, etc. which I have not had to do before, and therefore am not sure of.

  6. (1) Are you trying to upload images into a post on the home page? Or are you on the dashboard of your own blog? The latter is a better choice.

    (2) If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see >
    a. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies ?
    b. Have you tried updating the browser to the latest stable version?
