unable to get into my site

    As a newbie who has just started a blog on blogurple, I have found it very confusing to be led back to WordPress site information every time I log in, as nothing there is relevant to the workings of Blogurple, and I’m trying to do my best fuddle through and understand the differences of the two and what I have gotten myself into.

    I have put up a lot of fabulous content in the past two weeks and like how easy it is to use, however this is my problem: I have started a blog called http://www.healthycoffee.blogurple.com and I have been locked out by two error messages. The first says I have the either the wrong user name and password or I do not have cookies enabled (which is not true), the second says I have exceeded my bandwidth, which I was under the impression couldn’t happen. 

    Now I can’t log in to my site to get my content off to put it someplace else so this won’t happen again, so I (and my visitors) are not greeted by an empty page. I had to sign up for another user name just so I could log in to this forum and get some help. I’m at a loss as to what to do next. Can someone please steer me in the right direction and tell me how to correct this or get back into my site?? Thank you in advance:)

    I don’t believe the site you list is a wordpress.com blog, right?

    It appears the site you list above is web hosted and that the bandwidth has been exceeded. This means that you have to deal directly with your webhost to get access to the data. Send your webhost an email.



    As far as I know, it is a WordPress site. They have provided templates, etc that are all WordPress. When I sign in, I am signing into WordPress. Hence the confusion on my part, I’m sorry but I don’t understand how they are both related. I just tried to get into http://www.blogurple from another computer and was given the same error code. I searched and tried other blogurple sites and they are all giving me the same error message. Is it possible that the entire blogurple site is down or my computer is giving me the same message wherever I go? I cleared my cash but I still get the message.


    unfortunately, it seems that blogurple is having some difficulty with their hosting plan. unfortunately, wordpress.com doesn’t have anything that can help.
    blogurple is running the software from http://mu.wordpress.org, but it seems they didn’t customize their links to point to their own support system (although since the entire domain is down, it wouldn’t do any good anyway). unfortunately, you’ll have to wait for them to get back up. you might try back on Dec. 1, since most bandwidth quotas are per month.




    http://www.blogurple.com is a selfhosted blog. Go and ask your hoster. Maybe you’re using a product from WordPress.ORG .

    Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, I understand the differences in services now. The Blogurple server seems to be online now and my site is active. Thank you for all your patience in helping a newbie:)



    Insert friendly reminder that the ‘www’ and ‘healthycoffee’ bits can not coexist within a URL. Please drop the www from your URL. About 30% of the net and most search engine spiders can’t see that link.
