Understanding your Stats…

  Hi all

  I’ve just been looking at my stats for my blog and noticed that under my ‘Referrers’ tab I have search engines and under that mail.live.com

  Does that mean someone’s emailed someone a link to my blog? Or could they have had a link to the wordpress search engine emailed to them?

  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

  It means someone clicked a link to your blog in an email.

  Thanks Timethief…sorry daft question I know but I’m still learning from this all so just to make it clear….if they were sent a link to the wordpress search page it wouldnt show up, but if they were sent a link to a page on my blog it would show up as this. So basically someone has gone onto my blog…..highlighted the www address and emailed it to someone else?

  I could type an email to a friend and type your URL into it and that would be that. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#referrers
