Unlink blog from WordPress.com
You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.
This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.
If you don’t understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.
I didn’t specify a blog BECAUSE I CAN’t link my wp blog to my account as I can’t unlink it from another account as wordpress stats as a bug as if you move your blog and change the domain name too the stats doesn’t display anymore…this bug is related in several post but also have no answer from you…
this why I didn’t specify my blog…
You log out, you go to http://support.wordpress.com/, and you select the option that doesn’t have a blog at WP.com.
I really suggest wp stats developer to deactivate the availability to attach linked blog (i.e. external blog) because I spend a day to find a solution with no luck!
Background (or why this question is linked to wp.com):
At start you make a wp blog on your own server (not at wp.com)
then you upload the wordpress stats plugin
after activate it you feel happy as it works like a charme…
then you decide to migrate your blog in another domain name (very bad idea for stats )
everything is cool the move has been succesfully done
BUT STATS doesn’t display!
after hour of search in wp.org/wp.com you have no solution
so you decide to make another account on wp.com to attach the blog and see the stats again
You can’t do that as stats plugin (API Key) say that the blog is already linked with you old account…
wp.org have no solution for that bug, the main problem is a bug in WP STATS…
(I’m logged with my old account now)
to be exhaustive, the ultimate solution was to delete my old account but I can’t do it too (wp.com doesn’t allow that)…
any idea will be greatly appreciated?
ps: thank you raincoaster for your help but i already contact the support and no answer for instance…
ok the support has fixed the wordpress stats issue on my old account. “Unlink a blog” was for me a workaround so I consider this topic resolved.
