Ok, I just figured it out too. : ) In the dashboard I went to ‘Store’, then ‘Domains’. There was a ‘cancel’ hyperlink underneath my domain in the table. I clicked it and it said it would delete this domain I had added and refund my fee. For me, I was only mapping my domain (raynipeavy.com) to my wordpress site, so I didn’t have to change my domain’s DNS to the wordpress.com’s DNS, which means there was also another hyperlink under my domain that said something to the effect of ‘your DNS isn’t 100% setup for your domain’. Not sure if the ‘cancel’ link will always be there for everyone, or just in my case with how my domains DNS’s were setup, but figured I’d list out the details in case this helps some other person searching for a similar solution.
I think the domain mapping has a 30 day refund window – so you could cancel then buy again – or as @TT noted ask the staff and I think the staff should be able to transfer the mapping to another blog for you
