I recently changed the url of my blog. When I googled my blog, the old url showed up instead of the new url. When I clicked on it, it said my blog had been deleted (which is technically true). Is there something I can do to make Google recognize the url change so readers don’t assume that my blog is gone?
Blog more. As when you’re just starting out, a new URL means that you have zero links coming in to that address, so your pagerank is zero. Over time, Google will recognize that this blog is the same as the old one, and the links go there now, but it does take time.
