URL issues, finding the website by typing in the url.

  1. When I give the url to type in for someone on a different computer the search engine says it isn't found. When we type it in at WordPress it doesn't come up. BUT if I do the same on my computer where I have already been to the site then it finds it just fine. I have asked several friends to do the same thing and it works the same for them. Also, if I share a link on Facebook they can get to the site that way but not by typing it in.

The blog I need help with is

  2. You only have two posts. That's not enough content to get ranked on search engines yet, so just keep blogging and eventually they will have indexed your site.

  3. But if I tell someone to type in my url it should go to my site and it isn't. It says it doesn't exist. If you click the link on FB it goes to the site but not if you type it in.

I know I won't come up in search engines when searching for key words, etc. I should come up if someone types the exact url into their browser, right?

  4. No, if they are typing it into the Search box, it won't come up until the search engines have indexed you. They have to type it into the browser bar. If they are typing it directly into the browser bar and it's not coming up, they're not typing it correctly. is the URL. Note no "www".

  5. Ok. That makes more sense to me.

  6. Hi there,
As raincoaster pointed out you don't have much content as the blog is so new. It takes weeks for search engines to index content. What attracts search engines is unique content the cannot in posts that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Start now publishing original content posts frequently two or even three times weekly. For more information read >

The process we use for verifying free hosted blogs with search engines is found here >

Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don't feel panicky about this please. provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing.

Lastly note that we cannot assist with search engine issues. They are between the blogger and the search engine.
