You can basically put anything you want in the text widget. I have it Displaying a logo, others have an “about”, yet more have a link.

Best way to find out is to try it and see! ;)

When you put a link in, how are you typing it?

Don’t forget that you must use

    < a href="http://www.linkhere" > Link < / a >

without the spaces to get the system to recognise it properly.

Can we add colour text in it?

Sure it is. Up to ten I think. Scroll down to the bottom of your presentation page, you should find a menu to select the number of RSS and TEXT widgets you need

Can we add HTML code in text widget? eg. I want to paste html code of ‘rent my blog’ from blog explosion. but when i try to do so only html code appears as a text only. can i add such html code through text widget?

Only certain HTML tags are allowed in the text widget… see http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/08/allowed-html-tags/. I don’t think you will be able to use javascript so check the code and see if that is the reason it won’t display properly. You should be able to do basic html links and display images though.

Shash – can you paste the html in this thread so we can see it? Can’t really advise without seeing the code. From what Logical said above though, if there’s the word “script” anywhere you’re out of luck.

Code that comes out as text only is usually php code. Javascript stuff gets removed. At least that’s what I’ve noticed.

Do need to see it though to make sure.

You say you were sitting there trying to figure out, nosy’s comment eh? Well, welcome to the “trying to figure it out club”. :)

Next both Collin and you responded presumably to each other as shashiingale seems to be long gone. Thereafter nosy tossed in her *off-side* bit about using up her penultimate text widget.
I freely admit I can’t figure out what the fluff is up here so it’s all yours for the figuring *lol* [too funny].
