Using modules sourced from other programming languages

  1. I have been a web programmer for 16 years. I am investigating wordpress.
    At this time, I do not fully understand the distinction between wordpress and
    I have many resources in python. Is there a way to use python modules with wordpress?
    1)No need to be gentle. I am prepared to hear no, but I hope I am not judged poorly for asking.
    2)If there are other discussions on this topic, links to such are welcomed.

    In the Support Docs for XML-RPC, this is what I found: This relates to blogs hosted on and here XML-RPC is active on all blogs by default, with no means of turning it off. Hope this helps.

    I think what I need to do is :
    1)Get a bit acquainted with WordPress and make a little blog.
    2)Try posting to it with a python module.
