Vanishing menu items on drop down on site front page

Two items have vanished from my menu drop down box on the front page. These categories still exist in the menu list on the WP admin settings- appearance- menu but I can’t get them to appear on the drop down on the front page of the blog. They were there, now gone.

The blog I need help with is saraoca.wordpress.com.

    Hi,

What are the navigation labels (or names) of the menu items that are missing? Have you created multiple menus?

Under the heading Course work Part 1 and Part 2 this menu now starts at Part 3
The message coming back to me is that I do not have permission to change this level of menu.
    Thanks

Thanks for the additional info. I now see additional menu items “Part 2 Intimacy” and “part 1.” It should easy for an administrator of the site to move them under the top-level menu item “Coursework.” How to do this is described and illustrated in the Reorder Menu Items & Add Drop-Down Menus section of the Custom Menus support page.

The message coming back to me is that I do not have permission to change this level of menu.

Permission on a specific level of menu? That seems odd. Are you an administrator on the site? If you are an administrator on the site, then you should have full permission regarding all aspects of the menu. Can you provide the exact error message here, please?

Might you have been previously logged into a separate account, under username B let’s say, on the same browser when you accessed the menu on this site? If so, then WordPress.com would recognize you as username B, and not username A. If it’s not that, or having a user role lower than administrator, then I don’t know how to explain the error message you’ve reported.
