    I want to embed a video from Time Magazine’s website. The embed code doesn’t work when I put it in my code. Can you help me figure out how to use it so it works? This is the code:

    <object id=”flashObj” width=”700″ height=”394″ classid=”clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000″ codebase=”http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,47,0″><param name=”movie” value=”http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1″ /><param name=”bgcolor” value=”#FFFFFF” /><param name=”flashVars” value=”videoId=2245532666001&linkBaseURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.time.com%2Ftime%2Fvideo%2Fplayer%2F0%2C32068%2C2245532666001_2139329%2C00.html&playerID=1917933886001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAABGEUMg~,hNlIXLTZFZn-NQOazMchMDWH0SI1hX7f&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true” /><param name=”base” value=”http://admin.brightcove.com” /><param name=”seamlesstabbing” value=”false” /><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true” /><param name=”swLiveConnect” value=”true” /><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always” /><embed src=”http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1″ bgcolor=”#FFFFFF” flashVars=”videoId=2245532666001&linkBaseURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.time.com%2Ftime%2Fvideo%2Fplayer%2F0%2C32068%2C2245532666001_2139329%2C00.html&playerID=1917933886001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAABGEUMg~,hNlIXLTZFZn-NQOazMchMDWH0SI1hX7f&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true” base=”http://admin.brightcove.com” name=”flashObj” width=”700″ height=”394″ seamlesstabbing=”false” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowFullScreen=”true” allowScriptAccess=”always” swLiveConnect=”true” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash”></embed></object>

    You need to convert the code into a gigya shortcode. Example here:

    Oddly, I just read that forum, and copied a gigya shortcode exactly like you wrote in that thread, and when I post my video i get a “embed_shortcode: is not a valid URL” error; when i copy the code from that thread below it, it plays. Here are the codes side by side:

    My video:
    [gigya src=http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9"
    flashvars="isVid=1&isUI=1&videoId=2274815837001&playerID=1577029897001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAF1BIQQ~,g5cZB_aGkYZC26fBYKv5Nsnal0IamyGL&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" width="480" height="270" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" ]

    your shortcode:
    [gigya src="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9" flashvars="isVid=1&isUI=1&videoId=1626322562001&playerID=1398061561001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAApYJ7UqE~,xqr_zXk0I-zzNndy8NlHogrCb5QdyZRf&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" width="480" height="270" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" ]

    I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s not working. Any help would be appreciated

    sorry about the above, forgot the code tags

    Mine:
    [gigya src=http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9"flashvars="isVid=1&isUI=1&videoId=2274815837001&playerID=1577029897001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAF1BIQQ~,g5cZB_aGkYZC26fBYKv5Nsnal0IamyGL&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" width="480" height="270" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" ]

    Working example:
    [gigya src="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9" flashvars="isVid=1&isUI=1&videoId=1626322562001&playerID=1398061561001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAApYJ7UqE~,xqr_zXk0I-zzNndy8NlHogrCb5QdyZRf&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" width="480" height="270" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" ]

    It’s not working because you’ve got two typos: no quotation mark before http and no space before flashvars.

    thanks, I think it was the flashvars space; I noticed the quotation as soon as i posted and when I fixed it, I still got the error. I ended up just re-pasting my video information over your code again, and it worked. Thanks again for posting the original shortcode; I had been frustrated with brightcove until I found it (I’m bad with code). Will also definitely remember the space before flashvars
