Video player disappeared when changed theme

  1. I have two videos posted, one using video press (works fine with new theme) and one embedded from vimeo, which showed the player when I was using Manifest theme but is not showing the player (only the url) now that I have changed to Linen. I have tried putting square brackets round the link but that doesn't work either.

The blog I need help with is

  2. Sorry for being dim, I am a beginner in website building. I have discovered that my video appears when I click on "read more". Now I need to find out how to delete the "read more" instruction and get the video to appear on the post normally.

  3. is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.

If you are still out there and are referring to another free hosted blog then you edit the post and remove "the more tag" and then click "update".

  4. I did that and it still the post doesn't appear properly. There is only a link to vimeo, no text to accompany the post and the read more still appears.

sorry about the link to This was the first blog I set up and somehow my current one seems to be using the same information. I didn't know how to change it.

My website is, if you want to see how this video post looks (it's the 2nd one, the first was with videopress and this works OK).

If you want a password to get in I can give it to you.

  5. Thank you for the link. You will want to link it to your username > Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary blog and then save changes. Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

Your theme Linen is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it.

Don't ever post personal information to this forum. It's a public forum and everything we post here is available to all using the internet.

  7. Thanks. That's why I asked rather than just do it.

I'm going to change my settings now.

I'm in touch with premium support team.

    Thanks for your help.

  8. Done. I think that's all you can help me with for now. Thanks for this.
