Views have not moved even though I know the page has been viewed
My views have not moved on my page in weeks. it has stayed at 2,372 and 3. This is definitely not right because I have been more likes that views which does not add up on dramaticmastersstudnt. I even got a friend on a different compputer to look at it from hers and it did not move.I can’t understand what is wrong, but I need the views up to be correct for job applications etc. I hope you can fix it!

Likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat.
I choose to reduce my RSS Feed to “summary” here > Settings > Reading
For each article in a feed, show
Doing that compels followers to click in and read the full post on my blogs.
WordPress.com stats are not real time stats. That means they take time to update. Also as I posted above one does not need to click into your blog and create a page view stat to click a like button.
Why don’t post/page views add up to total views?
Post/page views are included in total views, but there are many views to your site that are not a post or page URL. The front pages, category/tag/date/author archives, and searches are all examples of other views that only count towards total views. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-info
P.S. I flagged this thread so Staff will take a look at your stats just in case.
Thank you for the help! I’ll set that now!
Hi there – it does look like visits are being recorded in your stats. For example, I see several visits recorded on Nov. 6 and Nov. 9. As timethief mentioned, stats don’t update in real time.
