Vigilance theme background not working correctly
Any help is appreciated!
The blog I need help with is oregonheritage.wordpress.com.
Same problem here: http://bltnotjustasandwich.com
It appears to be related to an ugly floating bar at the bottom that says:
Theme: Vigilance by The Theme Foundry. Blog at WordPress.com
Yup, same here…
I’ve had to make colour white because colour covers the page if any other colour.
As Oregon above.
Home page background covers page and lost white band down middle.
Other pages borders ok.
Any one help?
My best guess is that the WordPress.com developers recently introduced Infinite Scroll to that theme… but since their demo has a white blog over a white background, they didn’t notice this bug!
Yup Airodyssey, ta, looks like that’s the problem…
We’ll see if they fix it… White borders for now though.
Yes, it’s because they’re adding “infinite scrolling” to the main page of your theme (and, as usual, they’re doing it sloppily). You’ll have to wait till they finish the job, and then we can tell you how to disable the thing.
Thanks for raising the issue. We did in fact make some recent changes to the theme and I’ve let the theme team know of this problem; we should have a fix deployed shortly.
Thanks for the patience.
Thanks everyone. I’m changing my background to white for the time being until the bug is fixed and I can disable the infinite scrolling. I’ll change it back when it’s fixed.
Same here. That STINKS!
@justpi: Hi! Are you saying there would be a way to disable Infinite Scrolling in Vigilance? I thought themes with no footer widget area worked differently in that aspect.
Hi Sergio. Yes it’s possible – see Update 7 here:
Just a heads up to everyone that the issue is now fixed.
