Virus error page appears on my browser (Chrome) when i view my blog home page!

  1. When I view my blog a virus error page appears on my Chrome browser and says that it holds viruses in the content that I have no idea how it got there. Is there any way to fix this as I don't want viewers not going to my site due to virus errors being displayed by the browser!?

  2. The first thing I would do is disable every browser add-on and browser extensions as they have been the cause of many malware issues. These days some shareware has malware embedded in it.

The second thing I would do is run a whole system scan on my computer.

Then I would visit the blog while logged out and without enabling any browser add-ons of extensions see if the malware warning still presents.

If it does present I would click the link provided and find the information that states where the malware is.

If it does not present then I would know the malware is in the browser add-ons and I would enable them one by one to locate the culprit or culprits.

  3. BTW I visited the blog using Firefox 15.0.1 and IE8 and I did not get a malware warning.

Have you uploaded any music or images or videos from that site?
If you have then permanently delete them.

  5. Cheers mate and thanks for the suggestions but i finally found the image that had the problem. The virus was connected to an image that was on an old post that must have had its linked changed. as this post image was shown on the homepage it came up with the error but by going through each post page individually I found the page and deleted the image and everything now works fine on my browser. Thank you for taking time out to help though :)
