Want to get rid of footer

  1. How do I get rid of the footer at the end of my page that says "Blog at Theme: Customized Clean Home by Mid Mo Design."
    See it here.

    The blog I need help with is

  2. You don't unless you want your blog to be suspended. .

    May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at !’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
    All bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade.

  3. Okay, but do I need the part that says "Theme: Customized Clean Home by Mid Mo Design"?

  4. You may not remove any part of the footer text at all.

  5. P.S. I forgot to say when you purchase a custom design ugpade that "Customized "... " part now appears. If you hover over it you discover it's advertising for the custom design upgrade.

  6. I don't think many people actually read the footer so you are probably worrying about something that almost nobody reads.

  7. ~~auxclass
    Indeed and once infinite scroll is implemented on Clean Home it will be a non-issue.

  8. You can add text to the end of the footer if that's helpful. Here is an example:

    #footer:after {
    	content: " Copyright 2012 The Smart Cookie.";

    Adjust the content value with the text you'd like to add to the footer.

  9. Actually, that's great. Thank you!

  10. Cheers :)

  11. If you buy your own domain do you have to keep the footer?

  12. @computroninc
    Yes, you do. No footer information or links can be removed from any hosted blogs. There is no upgrade you can purchase that allows their removal. Purchasing a domain mapping upgrade changes nothing except the domain name. if that's a deal breaker for you then you will have to hire a web hoste and set up your own install.

  13. Even the VIP hosting upgrade (starting at $ 20,000/ year) are required to keep the footer.

  14. Yes, and I linked to that relevant entry the first time I posted into this thread. :)

  15. Is there anyway to change the link colour from blue to grey so it doesn't stick out so much?

  16. @orca333
    The blog linked to your username is wearing Modularity Lite and the footer links are blue in color. Are your referring to a different blog? If so what's the URL please?

  17. Not a good idea - how about you put some real content so the footer is really the footer and not the header like it is now?
