Want to upgrade to a premium theme SoundCheck and its not allowing me to do so.

    I am Michael Mulholland at michaelmulholland.wordpress.com and am using a free theme and want to purchase the Soundcheck theme and the site is not allowing it…please assist me in this…thank you, Michael Mulholland.

    If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

    If you are, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

    Hi I am having the same trouble with trying to buy a Custom Design kit. I have tried all the above and have had my credit card cancelled by the bank twice today, and still can’t get it to work. I have tried through Firefox on both credit card and Paypal. In IE i can’t get the Purchase button to come up at all, although it lets me type in all my credit card info if i put it in compatibility view.

    Would love to hear if there is a fix that comes up soon, as the fonts on my site look a bit strange.

    PS, I’m in Australia if that makes a difference (the error message is : The transaction cannot complete successfully. Please check the billing address and expiration date or try another card. Please contact your bank if you have further problems.) even though I don’t provide a billing address, just a postcode.

    I think this might be a recent issue with Internet Explorer 9.

    Can you try using either Firefox or Chrome and see if you can buy the upgrade? You can get either browser at browsehappy.com If you are able to purchase the upgrade, please do let me know, so I can pass this information along to our developers.

    I see several purchase attempts, each one declined by the bank issuing the card. You’ll need to try a different payment method or contact your bank. (You’ll probably also need to use a different browser other than IE for the time being – we seem to be having an issue with the purchase button and IE.)

    I actually never entered in my credit card info. The problem the payment page wouldn’t show up at all to enter any info…and furthermore, it did show up using my iPad…the problem was on PC…will try again. Thanks all for your support. Michael Mulholland

    I was using Firefox, not IE. And I did try different payment methods – both credit card and PayPal. When Firefox didn’t work after the fourth time I went to IE9, but as per the above the Purchase button wouldn’t even come up.

    I would prefer to use Firefox – has anything changed in this that it might work in Firefox now?

    The problem you are having isn’t related to WordPress.com – the bank is declining the card you are using. You’ll need to either use a different card or contact the bank to sort it out.
