    Hello
    The actual domain is aquemarlasnaves.com

    I’m so sorry but I have no idea what happened with my blog domain. The hosting service is bluehost and it has been renewed and was working perfectly. Now I found this error:

    Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

    I tried different things until I disconnected the domain with that button and now nothing works. I updated everything I found but now there’s no blog, no posts, not even the domain mapped in wordpress. Only the old address with old posts that were my initial trials.

    Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Hello,
    Currently your domain is pointing at WordPress.com, but it should be pointing to your hosting service, Bluehost, instead. You can fix that by updating the name servers as shown on this support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/

    Thanks a lot for the reply.

    The thing here is that the needed domain is not listed in there, and if I try to add it, it suggests the anual charge of $13 but that would be the self hosting with WP which is not the case needed. So, how would I connect again my domain .com instead of using the .wordpress.com?

    By the way, I have contacted bluehost and they say the site is pointing to them and everything seems correct on their end..

    Hi there,

    Your domain expired on 21 April and because you did not pay to renew it we removed it from your account on 6 June. Even though you’re using that domain with a Bluehost site, it is registered with us, which means you pay us for ownership of the domain itself.

    Your domain is currently in what is known as redemption – a period between when it expires and when the registrar releases it for anyone to buy. It might still be possible to recover the domain at this time, but there is a $80 redemption fee to do this in addition to the $26 to renew the domain for another year.

    Please let me know if you want to try and get the domain back, and I can send you an email to pay the recovery fee. If we’re unable to recover the domain that amount will be refunded in full.

    Your other option is to wait for the registrar to release it at which point you can try to register it again at the regular price, but you run the risk that someone else can register the domain the moment it becomes available in which case you’ll lose it completely.

    Let me know how you’d like to proceed.

    I’ve also cancelled and refunded the mapping upgrade you bought a little while ago, as that upgrade is useless unless you actually own the domain itself and buying that won’t help you in this case.

    Hi there,

    I’m glad to report that your domain has been restored and reactivated on your account. It is loading a Bluehost placeholder page, so it’s redirecting correctly, but it looks like you might need to reconnect the domain on Bluehost’s side as well.

    Let me ask one more question, what about the files, posts and everything that was stored there. Is that lost completely?

    That you will need to ask Bluehost, as your site was on their servers. Only the domain was with us, not the site itself.

    Most hosting plans with Bluehost include site backups as far as I know, so hopefully they are still able to restore your site.
