We seem unable to renew our payment

  1. We seem unable to renew our payment. Struggling to get it accepted.

The blog I need help with is howoftenithinkaboutfootball.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi patheery,

There are no active upgrades owned by the account you are logged in to. What is the URL of the site you need to renew the upgrades for?

Once I know more, I'll see what I can find.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi there,
Thank you. The url is catholicnewmalden.org
It is a colleague who is trying to renew it but she says whenever she tries it won't let her.
    Thanks again.
    Pat

  4. Hi Pat,

The domain catholicnewmalden.org is owned by another user of the site. Please ask secretaryagnes57 to login and renew from their Manage Purchases page.

If there are any problems, they can reply here logged in to their account and I'll take a look.

    Thanks!

  5. Thanks.
It is secretaryagnes57 who is trying to renew but keeps being told somebody else is renewing or not being able to do so. I will try and point her here.
    Thank you.

  6. Hi patheery,

I will try and point her here.

Yes, please do that and I'll be happy to help.

    Hi there,
When Agnes tries to renew it says in a red pop up banner
Unable to buy WordPress.com Premium, this site has WordPress.com Premium purchased by different user.
Do you know what that means?

  8. Upgrades must be renewed annually.

    re: renewing upgrades

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog's dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Managing Domains https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#managing-domains

If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.

If you do not have the required access you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them transfer the sites to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

The owner of the site can transfer the site (and/or upgrades) to another account by adding another username account as an Admin. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

  9. Hi secretaryagnes57,

The Premium plan for that domain is owned by pjasew — the upgrades are split across two accounts. They have renewed the plan, which included the domain catholicnewmalden.org.

It's best if the plan and domain are owned by the same account. pjasew has already transferred ownership of the domain to you and with their permission, I can also transfer the plan to your account.

If you would like to go ahead, please ask pjasew to login and reply here to confirm, or I can send them an email. Which option would you prefer?

    Thanks!

  10. Thank you for your help with this. I know Philip was confused last night having thought he had transfered it.
If you could contact him and say I put you in touch, that would be great.
    Thanks again.
    Pat

  11. Hi patheery,

You're welcome! I've sent an email to pjasew. If they are happy for me to move the plan, I'll confirm with secretaryagnes57 and get that sorted for you.

  12. Hi again,

I just wanted to let you know that all of the upgrades for catholicnewmalden.org have been transferred over to secretaryagnes57 now.

    You're all set :)

  13. That is great. Thanks again.
    Pat

  14. My pleasure!
