  • Hi,

It’s actually your computer’s / other device ‘address’ that you are using for the internet.

What are you trying to do please? Are you trying to transfer your domain to another registrar?

There is no permanent static IP address for any WordPress.com blog. All IPs are dynamic ie. ever changing. Therefore WordPress.com does not provide static IP addresses. However, I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

    Currently I believe they are:
    192.0.80.250
    192.0.81.250
    66.155.11.238
    66.155.9.238
    76.74.254.120
    76.74.254.123

    However, they could have changed.

  • Yes i am trying to transfer my domain to another registrar..

I already map my blog site http://24sportsnet.wordpress.com to my custom domain http://24sportsnet.com, however the site did not appear to that domain ( http://24sportsnet.com).

Thanks for your reply. I will be patient while waiting.

    Thanks, Kyris87

  • WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers. The option you have is to purchase a domain mapping upgrade to map an existing domain. Hopefully, you are clear on that. Also IP addresses are not what’s required to map an existing domain.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#transferring-a-domain-to-wordpress-com

Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made it and the domain mapping purchase here every year.

    Important Notes Before Upgrading http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually. In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

  • As i understood i choose wrong plan.
I thought that if you have a register domain name you can transfer your wordpress blog to this domain.
So can i change plan now?? I already paid 11euro for this plan [Map an existing domain (one you already own)].
If i will change my plan to Register a new wordpress domain, i will have any discount for that.
I want to cancel me from plan 2 and take my money back, and after i will register to plan 1 and buy a new wordpress domain.

    Thanks, Kyriacos

  • Hi there!

I already map my blog site http://24sportsnet.wordpress.com to my custom domain http://24sportsnet.com, however the site did not appear to that domain ( http://24sportsnet.com).

If I understand correctly, you purchased the domain “http://24sportsnet.com/” and would like to use it for your WordPress.com blog. Is that correct? I entered the domain in my browser and had no problems loading your blog. Can you kindly check that on your end?

    Thanks!
